Jelly Rolls and Honey Buns

Well my quliting adventure has begun. I sewed my first two blocks, they were easy. I sewed a 4-patch and a modified 9-patch. How is that for quilt talk.

As I mentioned I wanted to make a quilt quicker than the class so I bought a kit, of sorts, to make another quilt. You buy a jelly roll which is 2" strips and a honey bun which is 1" strips. The colors and patterns are all ready picked for you and so you just sew the strips, cut them into blocks and sew them into larger blocks. It seems easy enough but my blocks are not quite square so I have to work on straighter seams. I love the patterns and colors and can't wait until I can work on it more. School is over the end of April so I will have plenty of time then. I got to light a fire under my girls so they will get started getting their material.

Oh man, I was going to comment about Hank Hill too! I'm too slow. I can't wait to get my material. I look at Wally World, but they suck. Maybe I can get away in the morning tomorrow and look at the one fabric store here. Love you.
